Connectionist Approaches 10 th International Meeting November 20th and 21st 2003 in Nantes Organised by the CRGNA

ACSEG 2003
The next international meeting of ACSEG (Approches Connexionistes en Sciences Economiques et de Gestion - Connectionist Approaches in Economics and Management Science - will take place
on November 20th and 21st 2003.
This year, for the 10th anniversary, it will be held in Nantes, where it was formed in 1993, under the auspices of the University of Nantes.
The 2003 meeting will focus on biomimetic models (for example Neural Networks, Genetic Algorithms, Cellular Automata, Fuzzy Logic, Immune Networks) and their applications in Management Science and Economics.
Researchers and practitioners are invited to present their work on relevant theoretical or empirical aspects of these topics, and also to participate in the conference. The languages of the conference will be French, English and Spanish.
As in previous years:
· it is planned to publish a selection of the best papers in a suitable technical journal( e.g. The European Journal of Economic and Social Systems, The Fuzzy Economic Review, or in a book of Kluwer's Computational Management Science collection)
· also, a Young Researcher prize will be awarded to a doctoral student or a researcher who has completed a doctorate up to two year prior to the date of the conference. The paper will be published with the best papers selection.
CALL FOR PAPER
It is planned to hold four plenary sessions, presented by international specialists in their fields, as well as around ten themed sessions.
The presented papers will deal with theoretical and empirical problems of Economics and Management Science approached with biomimetic methods (Neural Networks, Genetic Algorithms, Cellular Automata, Fuzzy Logic, Immune Networks).
Invited submissions may deal, for example, with:
· Data Analysis: methods for clustering and classification, data mining
· Modelling of Decision Processes: consumer behaviour and management decisions
· Prediction: e.g. for financial series, insolvencies
· Numerical methods for evaluation and management of risk
· Simulation Modelling (of complex, massively parallel or fuzzy systems)
· Machine Learning, Self-organisation, Collective Intelligence
· Systems Control
· Knowledge Management
